LaToya Ruby Frazier, Biography

Frazier received the Geraldine Dodge Fellowship Award in 2007 as the College Art Association Professional development recipient 2006. She is a member of En Foco and Society for Photographic Education. Her work has been exhibited in The New Museum, Bronx Museum, National Academy Museum, Higher Pictures, Rush Arts Gallery, Schroeder Romero Gallery and in Copenhagen Denmark.

 

LaToya Ruby Frazier was born in Pittsburgh PA in 1982.  She received her BFA in Photography and Graphic Design at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2004 and her MFA in Art Photography from the School of Visual Performing Arts at Syracuse University in 2007. She has been an artist in resident at Art Omi in 2009, Center for Photography at Woodstock in 2008 and Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2007. 

 

Currently Frazier is the Associate Curator for the Mason Gross Gallery at Rutgers University where she also teaches Digital photography at the Mason Gross School of the Arts. Her work is represented by Higher Pictures. Pease click here to view additional images.
